Welcome to vanity corner where you'll get to see more of me.

In another 2 more days, I will be welcoming July with wide open arms and shout out loud:

"July is going to be a good month! I'm going to enjoy this month!"

June wasn't exactly a happy month. It taught me that odd things does happen and nothing comes easy. Change is inevitable. Decisions, forever a dilemma.

June wasn't exactly a sad month either. It showed me how little I saw before when I thought I've seen everything. It opened doors that I've never realized exists.

Many people asked me this:

"Do you think you've made the right decision?"

"Yes."

"How sure are you?"

"My heart told me so."

 If I were given a second chance to think and rethink, I'll still make the same decision. I'm not sure if it's the right decision or if I'll shout I regret! in the future but.....

Hey, who are we to know what is the right decision?

Regret? I'm sure I wouldn't in the future.

Back to blogging

It has been a long, long time since my last blog update and I can barely remember when was the last interesting post that I wrote. Oh wait, was there any interesting ones? Never mind. This is my blog anyway so who cares?

Holiday came and went by just like that and all I did was just one post throughout the holiday. It's not like I was really busy. I was actually just busy doing NOTHING. I actually tried to update my blog but somehow they all just ended up as drafts instead. There's no idea or motivation whatsoever for me to continue writing those posts so they all ended up rotting in my draft box. Let's just say I'm lazy as hell. Yeah....that's the best excuse I can give. Or maybe I've found a better hobby than blogging that is knitting. I'm turning into a granny! Ok let's not talk about that.

I'm surprised that despite the lack of updates, there are still some returning visits(yes I track you people). Maybe they are just visits from people I know but still, I want to thank them and let them know that I greatly appreciate their support. Thankiu! Thankiu! Thankiu! hahaha! You guys must be disappointed at each visit to my blog. Don't worry! I'm back now, all fresh and lively once again!

(Actually I'm lying about being lively. Who knows I'll feel so worn out starting from the second week of trimester onwards?)

I can't guarantee that my blog will be as active as before but...............but.....................ok I'll try my best to update whenever I can, ok? lol

My new trimester's schedule is driving me crazy, I doubt I can update my blog twice a week like I did before. I think once a week should be sufficient enough. Sometimes I wonder how some people can update their blogs DAILY. I don't mean niche blogs but personal blogs. What do they write about? Don't they have other things to take care of, such as studies, assignments, exams, work, etc? Is their everyday that happening? Unless they're full-time bloggers then I have nothing to say. Or maybe they treat their blog as a diary.

And then, there are people who gain popularity and earn bucks from blogging. How legit is this?

Xiaxue: Ok everyone knows who she is(at least for bloggers). She's a singaporean blogger. A friend of mine introduced her blog to me a long time ago but I rarely read it. It's lengthy with lots of rants and raves but entertaining enough. Avid blog readers will enjoy reading it.

Kenny Sia: One of my favorite malaysian blogger.  Hilarious and entertaining.

Chuckei: Was browsing a forum out of boredom and the people were talking about chuckei so this is how I came to know about this blogger. Her name is Jane Lau. Her blog is just ordinary, nothing interesting. Perhaps famous as a beautiful blogger?

QiuQiu: Her name is Bong Qiu Ting I think. She's a friend of Xiaxue so apparently she's a famous blogger too. Anyway, I love visiting her blog, I don't know why.


Somehow, these bloggers did have something about themselves or their blogs and some special formula that make it possible for them to be famous.

Anyway, if by chance, you're a loyal blog reader of mine, *ahem* you would have noticed something extra on the right column of my blog beneath the blog translator. Yes. Adsense is back again after being advertorial-free for 4 months! =D

And you would also notice that the chatbox has disappeared. The reason why I removed it was because of the loads of spam messages. LOOK!

What the hell is with this stupid chatbox? What Lady Gaga? What Britney Spears? What Miley Cyrus blablablabla Spice Girls? wth? You all can go RIP!

So in the end I just get rid of it because I cannot stand it anymore. My blog doesn't need a chatbox anyway. NO PEOPLE TO CHAT WITH ME! *sob*

Meet cookie monster

Today's topic is about cookie monster, a character from Sesame Street. Cookie monster is a monster who loves cookies!(duh...)

This just reminds me about the lion dance which the 'lion' never fails to scatter the vegetables all around the floor every chinese new year. When I was young, I used to be very excited about the lion dance although I was afraid of the 'lion'. The 'lion' would always scatter the broken pieces of vegetables around, making us children believe that the 'lion' actually chewed and ate the vegetables then threw some out because it couldn't finish it. After I grow up, I realised that the dance is no extraordinary event to me anymore. And the vegetables, it is just vegetables tore into pieces by humans and then simply scatter it around in a horrifyingly violent manner.

Meet my doppelganger

Know what is a doppelganger? 

According to Wikipedia the free encyclopedia,

 A doppelganger is someone that looks exactly like another person — most commonly an "evil twin." In some folklore, a doppelganger that is seen by a person's friends or family means the person will have illness or is in danger, while seeing your own doppelgänger means you will likely die. Some mythology offer more magic explanations, where the doppelganger is created by some kind of curse or through magic. These doppelgängers are usually, but not always, bad in some way.

I remembered watching music bank with my family months ago and when I saw this guy, I was like "Oh my gosh, he looks like a girl."

Polka dots crazy!

I'm so obsessed with polka dots lately especially polka dot blouses and dresses. It has a vintage style yet so cute and eye-catching. Don't you think so?

My friend commented: "Eeee......those polka dot clothes are like the 70's fashion la..."

I don't care. I just think polka dots are so so so cute! In fact, I love 70's vintage fashion style.

I don't care if it's just a background....

A visitor from an invisible country

My blog stats per day isn't stable at all. Some days, I can reach 40+ pageviews (rarely) while other days I only get 1 pageview (rarely nowadays).

A few days ago, I checked my stats (I check almost on daily basis) and found there's only 1 visitor. Curiously and automatically, my mouse found its' way to the Audience button and clicked it.

I see NOTHING!

I was wondering if blogger had forgotten to highlight the location of Puerto Rico on the map with green colour. Later on, I googled and found out Puerto Rico is an island located somewhere along the Caribbean Sea.

Somewhere in the circled area.

Puerto Rico is so tiny, as tiny as Singapore (perhaps smaller?) that it couldn't be seen in this map. Perhaps blogger should enlarge the map so that these tiny little islands can be seen someday.

Feeling stressful?

It has been days since my last post. It isn't because I'm away or anything else but the horrifying loads of assignments. I've been chasing after the due date which is tomorrow. Busy, busy busy......arrgh!!

Anyway, I'll try to keep this post as short and sweet as possible.

Dear diary

This is a post dedicated to my dear diary that has been following me for 3 years since 2009. A book that silently accepts whatever event and feelings I've recorded in it. Although I do post events too in this blog as it's known as my 2nd diary, an i-diary but there are some events and feelings that I couldn't share with everyone because they're too personal.

Tadaa~~ this is my loyal diary. ^_^ (Opps....it looks kinda dirty and worn out. Let me clean it. Hehe~)

Happy times, dear diary. Sad times, dear diary. Frustrated times, dear diary. Angry times, dear diary. Almost everything under the sky is written in it. Well, most of them are secrets. Hehehe~ I felt a lot at ease every time I lay my handwritings in it. I guess this is the magic a diary can do.

I don't really know when exactly I started to develop my interest in writing diary (and blogging too...). It seems weird for someone to have a blog and diary and loves both at the same time because most of my friends don't. Ahh.......who cares.

I was humming the glee song - "get it right", especially the chorus part spontaneously during maths class today. The guy beside me must've thought I'm crazy or annoying but I just couldn't stopped myself. Opps....sorry. Hahaha!!!

Lalalalala~~~I'm in a happy mood today. :D Woohoo~~~

I just logged in mmls and and found a file posted by an economics lecturer stating "Please kindly check your result posted". Oh~the result is out already? Well, that isn't posted by my lecturer so my result isn't there but I still opened the file out of curiosity. Full mark is 20% and I saw 4 people got 19.5%. OOOoooo~~~~wow! Who is that? I know I will not get 19.5% even though I've studied economics before. I bet the percentage of someone getting full marks in my class will be higher. That's for sure.

Traits of Virgo

Virgo and Independence:

Virgo is a very independent zodiac sign. They are fully able to put their intelligence to use and get things done for themselves. It is possible however that their narrow mindedness causes their creativity to suffer and they may lead regular routine lives. It is best to keep your emotional distance from a Virgo friend unless they open up to you first. Virgo might try to analyze and control a friend's life but only with the idea that they will improve their life, not purely for the sake of controlling. Be patient with your Virgo friend and understand that their recommendations are only to make your life better.

Virgo and Business:

Virgos are very intelligent, they have an excellent memory and a highly analytical mind. This makes them good investigators and researchers. They also have the ability to probe into a person's emotions and they can often see into people and detect what their motives are. This makes them great policemen or interrogators. Virgos are very good at problem solving, this is what they do best. They are confronted with a problem, they will pick apart the pieces and put it together in the proper order. They are rational thinkers and are good at settling other people's disputes and putting them on the right track for reconciliation. Any position that requires the above features, which is a very long list, is perfect for the Virgo. They keep the world in order.

Virgo Temperament:

Before a Virgo plunges into anything, from a problem to a vacation idea, they need to analyze all the facts and know all the details before they plunge in and make a decision. This makes them seem indecisive and slow. Virgo's perception is their reality, more so then other astrology signs. What they believe is what will be, if they have a negative outlook on life, things will present themselves to be negative and they will be very moody and isolated/detached. Virgo Deep Inside:

They need to be organized in their mind, sometimes all their energy is taken from organizing their mind that they have a difficult time organizing their surroundings. They easily look too deep into an issue and over analyze what they percept. Virgo is ambitious and strives to always know more and have more. This is in their eternal quest to bring order to chaos. Even if order is obtained from an outsiders' point of view, Virgo will not be settled for they have a very active mind that is always thinking and can never be silenced. Virgos want to be of use, they need to be important and essential to everyone in their lives and in everything they do. Virgo's major life lesson is to learn to trust in and have faith in the unknown. They have to understand that things in life happen for a reason that is not always known to them, they do not have to always know everything. They need to learn to calm down and not over-analyze a situation or event. Deep inside, Virgo is very sensitive and they need to be appreciated for all the things they do. When is Virgo is offended or hurt, they may never show it.

Virgo in a Nutshell:

Virgo exists in the mind, everything is inside. To the world, Virgo presents a calm and collected exterior but on the inside, nervous uncontrolled intensity in the mind, trying to figure things out, how to improve everything, analyzing and thinking. Virgo can tire itself out without even moving! Virgo has a constant drive to improve and perfect, this can lead to extreme pickiness and finickiest. They are pure, their motives are honest never malicious and they want to accomplish something.

The only part I don't quite agree is the Virgo and Business part where "Virgos are VERY intelligent and have EXCELLENT memory". LOL I'm not really intelligent and my memory is....*ahem* rather weak.

Actually I want to update my blog today but it's too late already because of some presentation thingy. I've just finished that presentation slide. Phew! Finally! It took me some time to figure out how to do a presentation slide. Ahh!! I'm so noob at this kind of thing. *shake head*

Hmm......well, I don't know about their personality of course but some of the are nice. I've met some nice girls in my class and maybe a few nice guys? XD hahaha! At least they helped to carry tables. XP LOL!

What I do know is there are many clever people in my class. 9As, 10As and even 11As. What am I compare to them?? Boohoo~

"Pretty girls? Handsome guys?"

Oh, pretty girls? Of course there are! There are pretty girls wherever you go. There are pretty girls in my class but few. Like 5 or 6 only. Guys? That's even worse. Like err.......2.......ok, maybe 3 (haven't discover yet...LOL) So now, there's only 2 good looking guys in my class. They're not really handsome like superstars but I'll still consider them as good looking or else there'll be none. Hahhaha!

Clumsy me

The wound on my toe is bleeding again because I am so clumsy. I accidentally hurt it twice. Boohoo~~ It's so painful. It's even more painful than yesterday. :(

Fell from the stairs

Ouch! I fell down from the stairs today. Luckily it's not that serious as I just fell a few steps. Just some bruises and bleeding here and there. My friend was definitely shocked just now when I suddenly slipped and fell down. Hahaha! The bruises looked painful. Yes, it is painful but not as painful as what I've gone through while I was in the hospital. It's nothing compared to the cleft surgery. It's just a little tingling pain and that's all. Serves me right though that I fell down. Really serves me right. It would remind me to stay alert every time I climb the stairs.
